دکتر هاشمی وزیر بهداشت و درمان

دکتر سید حسن قاضی زاده هاشمی در فروردین ماه ۱۳۳۸ در فریمان، در خانواده ای مذهبی به دنیا آمد. پدر ایشان به کار عطاری مشغول بودند و از چهره های مورد وثوق شهر فریمان نیز بود . وی در کودکی قرآن را نزد مرحوم آقای شیخ حسین مطهری پدر شهید بزرگوار مرتضی مطهری فرا گرفت . پس از پایان دوره ابتدایی، دوره متوسطه را در دبیرستان فردوسی مشهد ادامه دادند و همزمان در فعالیت های مذهبی نیز شرکت داشتند . در سال ۵۶ وارد دانشکده پزشکی دانشگاه مشهد شدند و ضمن تحصیل دانشگاهی در فعالیتهای اجتماعی سال های قبل از پیروزی انقلاب اسلامی نیز فعالیت داشته و همزمان با گسترش موج انقلاب اسلامی با مشارکتی فعال، در رخدادهای سیاسی – اجتماعی شهر مشهد تأثیر گذار بود.
بعد از پیروزی انقلاب اسلامی به عنوان یکی از مؤسسان جهاد سازندگی در کشور نقشی فعال و مؤثر ایفا کردند. با شروع جنگ تحمیلی مدت ۳۳ ماه به عنوان یکی از مسئولان مهندسی رزمی جهاد به صورت داوطلبانه در جبهه‌ها حضور داشت و در این مدت دوبار مجروح شد. برادر کوچک‌تر ایشان به علت مصدومیت شیمیایی ناشی از دوران جنگ، در سال ۱۳۷۲ به خیل شهدا پیوست. دکتر هاشمی پس از بازگشت به دانشگاه برای ادامه تحصیل، حضور در جبهه را در قالب تیم های اضطراری ادامه داد و پیش از هر عملیات راهی منطقه می‌شد. 
دکتر هاشمی دوره پزشکی عمومی را در سال ۱۳۶۵ به پایان رساند و در سال ۱۳۶۸ موفق به گدراندن دکتری تخصصی چشم پزشکی در دانشگاه علوم پزشکی مشهد شد.
وی فلوشیپ قرنیه و سگمان قدامی را در دانشگاه علوم پزشکی شهید بهشتی – بیمارستان لبافی نژاد – طی کرد و هم اکنون به عنوان استاد تمام در دانشگاه علوم پزشکی تهران مشغول خدمت است. 
ده کتاب تألیفی و یکصد و پنجاه و هفت مقاله جهانی ایشان، مرجع تحقیقات علمی در رشته چشم پزشکی بوده و از وی چهره یک دانشمند جهانی ساخته است. از افتخارات ملی دکتر هاشمی راه اندازی ۳۱ روش عمل جراحی چشم است که برای نخستین بار در کشور صورت پذیرفته است.
